Tutorial

1. Create your design on your computer (eg Silhouette Studio) in the desired size and print the design with your inkjet printer. Or stamp your design using a permenent stamp pad such as the StazOn stamp pad.

Please print on the shiny side (the other side is rough). If you are working with the plotter use the Print & Cut function. For mugs, it is recommended to design a sleeve.

2. Spray the design generously with clear varnish (acrylic based varnish) and let it dry well.

3. You can cut out your printout by hand or with the plotter.

4. Place the cut out foil in a shallow container, for about 30 seconds to 2 minutes, with warm water. It will initially roll up a little. Please wait until it is flat again. The paper must be well soaked. The upper transparent layer will detach from the backing paper. Please do not wait until it is completely detached from the carrier!

Now you can position the motif on the desired surface. We recommend that you do not peel off the entire backing paper at once, but very carefully piece by piece. You can use a soft cloth or a flat brush to carefully brush out any bubbles or wrinkles that have formed. For smaller motifs, you can also correct with damp fingers. Then carefully dab the motif dry. 6.

After drying, you can seal the motif with clear varnish, if desired.

7. Should you make a cup, glass or plate, you can put it in the oven at 110 degrees Celsius for 15-20 minutes after 10 minutes drying time.

Note: The final product is not dishwasher safe and should not be placed in water for more than 5 minutes.
